Muscat province is located between the Gulf of Oman and the Eastern Stone Mountain and is one of the most important ports of Oman and perhaps one of the most interesting ports in the world. The port is in the shape of a circular bay surrounded by dry mountains without any vegetation with large and shiny rocks.

Muscat is the largest and oldest city in Oman, where all government institutions are located. From ancient times, Oman was called the Kingdom of Muscat and Oman. One of the most famous historical castles of this city are Mirani and Jalali castles.

Other places of interest in Muscat include Baladeh Al-Sufa, Muscat Wall, Atri Houses, Al-Khairan, Qantab Beach, Al-Zubairo House Museum, Omani Banknote and Coin Museum. The occupation of the people of Muscat is trade and fishing.

Muscat goldsmithing, silversmithing and handicrafts are also well known.
